Emma Fairhurst
Executive Chairperson
Ms. Fairhurst has over 20 years experience in the venture capital financial and public company markets. The majority of time involved in the Canadian resource capital market and as well as Australian resource sectors. Emma worked at Canaccord Genuity where she administered hundreds of millions in assets, private placements and financings. She subsequently went on to be a founder and executive in the resource business venture sector in her own right. Her collective experiences have led to many appointments as Director for various private and public companies. Emma has 15 years experience in international development and corporate responsibility, working significantly in East Africa.
Jason Cubitt
CEO
Mr. Cubitt has worked for the past fifteen years directly with mining exploration companies and held executive and non-executive board positions with both private and publicly traded companies on Canadian, US and Australian exchanges. Most recently he served for seven years as president and CEO of Solis Minerals Ltd., a mining exploration company with copper projects in Peru and lithium projects in Brazil. He was formerly focussed on venture capital primarily serving the natural resource sector. He co-founded Ascenta Asset Management and Vertus Investment Advisory, offshore investment advisory firms for which he was responsible for precious metals and special situations mining funds. Prior to this he co-founded Ascenta Finance Corp. in 2005 where he served for nine years as managing director and dealer, raising over $100m in public equity. Mr. Cubitt was a member of the steering committee and a founding investor in the Ascenta Foundation, a Canadian charitable foundation formed in 2007 providing urgent medical, dental, optometric and surgical services to medically underserved communities around the world.
Harry Nijjar
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Nijjar is currently a Managing Director with Malaspina Consultants Inc. and provides CFO and strategic financial advisory services to his clients across many industries. As CFO of Forty Pillars Mr. Nijjar will be responsible for the financial reporting and other administrative functions. Mr. Nijjar is currently also CFO of Los Andes Copper Ltd., Playgon Games Inc., Oberon Uranium Corp., Marvel Biosciences Corp and Forty Pillars Mining Corp. Mr. Nijjar holds a CPA CMA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and a BComm from the University of British Columbia.
